New T&D Paired Rockers For TFS Heads….
« on: September 30, 2024, 05:50:31 PM »
I’ll post a pic here in a bit, but T&D released their paired rocker system for the TFS heads.  It’s a lot easier setup to adapt since the rocker stand pads on the heads are raised higher than factory.  This means no milling required for height, just drilling and tapping holes for the mounting bolts.

As you can see, the lower subplate is eliminated and you can bolt the top mounting bar straight to the head.

Brent, as I recall mentioned a few times, the Harland Sharpes also work without milling. Is that correct?

They do, but the HS rockers are not on par with this kind of system.  They use a traditional, 4-stud, mounting platform.  These are pretty bulletproof.

I understand that, just making sure I didn’t need to change plans. I tried to find these on their site for pricing, but no luck?

They're not cheap.  $2130 a set.  Not everyone needs them, but I consider them "it" when it comes down to needing a bulletproof setup.

I’m thinking I could mill about six heads for the proven sub plate that uses the head bolts in the time it will take to set up, locate, drill, tap, and helicoil 16 holes in two heads.  I’m a T&D man all the way…….we are a warehouse distributor for T&D…..but if a person comes to me with Trick Flow heads wanting solid roller set up, I will be suggesting the proven subplate design.  We’ve milled so many heads for those over the years that it is just a standard procedure here.  The steel bar with five 1/2” bolts for a subplate is still king.  That “new” stand is just like the Blue Thunder stand of years ago, adjusted for the taller pad on the Trick Flow head.
