I’m thinking I could mill about six heads for the proven sub plate that uses the head bolts in the time it will take to set up, locate, drill, tap, and helicoil 16 holes in two heads. I’m a T&D man all the way…….we are a warehouse distributor for T&D…..but if a person comes to me with Trick Flow heads wanting solid roller set up, I will be suggesting the proven subplate design. We’ve milled so many heads for those over the years that it is just a standard procedure here. The steel bar with five 1/2” bolts for a subplate is still king. That “new” stand is just like the Blue Thunder stand of years ago, adjusted for the taller pad on the Trick Flow head.
