For sale is a complete Erson rocker setup, and most of a second setup. All parts are in good used condition, as shown in the photos. I've had these rocker setups since 2005, and actually ran them on my FE at Drag Week in 2005. They were good with valve spring pressures of 240 on the seat and 650 over the nose, and the engine ran up to 6800 RPM. Erson rockers features needle bearings on a reduced diameter shaft, large diameter adjusters, and a very stout rocker stand setup. The second set would require one shaft and two complete rockers to be complete; the two disassembled rockers shown in the photo can be combined to make one good one. In the bag shown in the photos are extra shims to space the rockers one way or the other on the shafts. I have machined both sets of stands to clear ARP head studs and nuts, so they should work on any FE head with either head bolts or studs.
For anyone not familiar with these rockers, there are a couple things to know. First of all, due to their reduced diameter the shafts are susceptible to breakage if installed incorrectly. You have to be sure to tighten the nuts on the studs that hold the rocker assembly to the heads very slowly and evenly; I go 1/4 turn at a time on all of them until they are tight. The shaft that is missing was broken when I went too fast on the installation. The second thing to know is that needle bearings leak more oil than bushings, so you can't restrict the oil to these rockers as much as you can with a bushed rocker setup or you will starve the rockers of oil at the front of the engine. I used .090" restrictors on my Drag Week engine, which worked fine. If you pay attention to these details, this is an excellent rocker system.
I also have a set of Smith Brothers pushrods that were used with these rockers. They are 3/8" ball-cup pushrods, with no oil hole, 9.20" overall length. The pushrods were used with a set of Comp Cams solid roller lifters.
$1150 for the complete rocker setup as shown; I will not separate or sell parts from this setup. $150 for the pushrods. Prices do not include shipping. I can accept credit cards for payment, but I will have to add 4% to the total to cover the credit card fees. Note that these are my personal items, NOT FE Power products. All sales are final.
