C5AE-N Medium Riser Intake 1x4
« on: August 12, 2024, 08:04:43 PM »
Does anyone have any photo's of the C5AE-N intake for the 427 Medium Riser. 1x4 prior to the Sidewinder. I believe these are the only 1x4 intakes Ford made for the W Code Medium Riser 1x4 engines from 1965 - 1967.

Check out Jay's book "The Great FE Intake Comparo" page 100 for several pictures of the C5AE-N intake.  Joe-JDC

I have a C5AE-9425-N intake, it’s the same one Jay tested for his book, and the one pictured in the book. Everyone should have a copy of the book  ;)

Here’s a picture. Someone in the past drilled & tapped a hole in the #4 runner, probably for a vacuum port, so that’s not original.

I think people have commented in the past that these came in both aluminum and magnesium, mine is aluminum.
