Just over 2 years since purchase. For the past 11 months I got a bit carried away in "cleanup" detailing.
Pretty much untouched since new but ended up pulling engine and transmission plus complete front and rear suspension, steering for a bit of Randy detail.
While it was scattered all over shop  FoMoCo gave me a Mustang GTD allocation so now the Cyclone gotta go to make room in shop and for $ to get the GTD.
I will post a BaT link when it goes live in a few days.

Few fresh photo of where it is at now.

the 1966 Cyclone GT in this condition are few and far between

I size mine down in Microsoft paint, 20% of original size from my camera and 30% of original size from my phone.  Takes up less space, easier to post, etc.

did you clear coat the car?dam shiny for being originall 66 paint.but still would not have let it go.that original of a car is a rare find today!

no painting or clearcoat of any kind.
Some of the new 3m products do wonders for the old ford baked on enamel especially something stored inside for 59 years.

I am for sure having 2nd thoughts about letting it go knowing I would never be able to replace it.

Right now I do not have much climate controlled shop area especially for these hot winter months

It will not sell cheap so it is a one time thing to see what interest I can gather
I started looking 50 yrs ago for something like this and nothing ever came up

Ford offered me a 2026 Mustang GTD is only reason I considered selling.  With old age already year it is just too hard to work on them anymore. GTD should last as long as I do.

amazing shine! i would just build another garage for it.cars like that are once in a lifetime for most people.

I wish it were that easy! The cost of building a garage and keeping it Climate control would cost a small fortune but nice thought!

I do have a couple of shipping containers that may work but in 115+ deg temps it would eat up the value of the car.
It's not sold yet so will have to wait until noon on Labor Day to make a decision.

I need to sell most or all of my collection to buy the GTD so would then only need 1 stall.
