1970 Maverick Drag Car
« on: March 02, 2024, 08:05:08 PM »
Maverick drag race car built by Top Fuel veteran Arnold Birky and the "Birky Bunch" around the blown Keith Black engine from his Nostalgia Top Fuel car. Very nicely built, very stout and certified to 8.50 ET (I think the cert just expired, needs renewal). Currie rear end with ladder bars, coilovers and wheelie bars, drop axle in front. Car made a few partial passes due to clutch problems and went very straight. Next car was being built, Fuel Altered style, so engine/clutch was pulled for that car. Selling as a roller including the wheels/tires, functioning brakes, fire system, seat, fuel cell, chute setup etc. as seen in photos. Had to stop for a pic by the starting line on "Paradise Road" bringing it home. Excellent home for a high-horsepower FE, SOHC, 460 etc. Just have too many, something has to go. No canned responses please, "Is this item available" etc. $6500 rolling

Don't know, can't be too heavy. My buddy sold his circle track scales, might be able to find some if you are seriously interested
