Sick Week overall leader (so far)
« on: January 31, 2024, 09:11:18 PM »
I have been watching some of the Sick Week event and so far the overall leader is Brett Lasala in a 2012 Mustang running a stock block Ford 5.0 Coyote with twin turbos. His average so far is 6.38. To add insult to injury he is running in a radial class! Blue oval, baby!

Yes true 10.5 tire amazing how they get these things to hook. I believe he broke the record 2 days in a row. Both were his records but still that’s moving.

Jeff Lutz had to throw in the towel yesterday after some spun bearings apparently. Brett LaSala went 6.26 @ 227 today to wrap up the overall win on Sick Week.

Amazingly fast! Scary though as with radials and a short wheelbase, if one gets the car out of shape (for about 100+ reasons) it could be lights out!

That car is dead nuts straight as an arrow every pass. He's got it dialed perfectly, and keeps upping the 10.5 record just about every time he runs. It really is amazing how dependable that stock block has been for him, and to show up all that billet pro-mod stuff is an incredible feat.

I agree he’s only a tenth off of the pro mods. It’s amazing how it hooks.
