MCACN questions
« on: December 01, 2023, 10:01:12 AM »
Anyone who went to MCACN care to share how the Fords/Mercs were represented? Wasn’t there a 68 MY special?

Thanks
JB

Jim,
I was there. What is MY Special?

There were various Fords & Merc sprinkled throughout the event. However, our own FCA head judge, Marty Burke hosted a Ford/Merc Big Block Display from 1968-1971 as the focus but we had a '66 R Code Fairlane and a '66 Cyclone at the end of the display. Here are some pictures I took. I'm not a big picture taker so I'm lucky I took time to get these  ;D

For someone who's not a "picture taker" you did quite well. Beautiful cars. Sorry, can't offer anything re: MY.

 Very nice pics Doug.
MY refers to model year.
Hemmings Muscle Machines usually does write up. I hope there is one for that show.

Well that 68 "MY" Montego sure is special... a Cobra Jet, says 11 built. Where was the Spolier II from?

My best bud Danny and his black 68.5 CJ Mustang coupe was there. The engine was one i did quite a while back.  I have a couple other customers and friends who attended, but I believe he was the only car we did an engine for

I am going to it next year, heard it was a high school car theme, will see if they will accept a 462 EFI FE F-100 shortbox 4x4, complete with pictures of a long haired too-cool guy from the 80's LOL
