This takes me back to fun times! I learned a lot of the same lessons spinning up that cammer head. More spring is not always your friend, and you want to set the full open coil clearance pretty tight to keep things under control

That is a wicked cool engine. With that much piston speed, I imagine it can't spend very much time at those stratospheric revs.
