My rocker cover blew up.

I have the rockers off now. A number of years ago I had repaired the clamp.
It had broken off and I made a steel clamp. The shaft could have cracked then and I just
kept it going with my repair. Anyways it failed at the repaired area.
With the shaft in 3 pieces now I think Ersons are done.

Howie, curious if your Erson rocker stands were the version that had the cut in the aluminum around the  shaft. I know that the later Ersons had that cut in the stand, and seemed to be a common failure point. I had a set of very early production Ersons on my Fairmonts 428s, that did not have the cuts, and never had any issues, but I know that DaleP had the cut version, and he had several failures in that area. Have to wonder why Erson elected to put that cut on an otherwise excellent product.

They do have the cut in the stands and they failed at the cut in the stand.
