Pretty warm in the desert today

Took the temp of the street in front of my house.

What, are you in Death Valley???  What's the air temp?  You should throw an egg on that pavement...

The reading surprised me since it was only about 115*.   Yup, should have tried an egg on there.  LOL

Speaking of heat, I am somewhat near the Yarnell, Az fire, about 17 miles away as the crow flies and we have ashes coming down from the sky at our house, stinks outside like smoke too. I am amazed that the ash can travel that far. We were 114 degrees today.

Only 115 you say? But it's a dry heat, so in actuality it only feels like 108? ;D

It about killed me last week roofing my house in 90* weather. But with 70% humidity and rain (the ONLY rainy week of the year here...go figure) it really felt like over 100 so there is much truth in that "heat index".

At 195*, I would think that asphalt would turn to oil and goo on roadways!
