Another happy customer. These are very well made, and thank you for jumping through all the hoops to make them available.

Tri power is a FA48 and is smallest, height wise, and the only one still available.

Well, I can confirm that the 3" filter will not fit under the hood in a '63 Galaxie with a factory 6v set up. No spacers under the carbs, just gaskets.

Anyone need a 3" filter lol?

Send it back and we can swap you for a 2-3/8" filter. I'm surprised that it doesn't fit.... I'll have to open Jay's intake comparo book tonight and see how a LR 2x4 manifold height compares to a LR 3x2. On our '63 the 3" clears just fine but its a 2x4 manifold.

We can save the cost of shipping if you want, Nathan. I'll order an extra 2 3/8" and swap you one for the 3" if you want?

I looked in Jay's book, looks to me that the 3x2 manifold is actually lower in the front than the 2x4. Same dimension in the rear of the manifold.

Where is the hood interfering with the air cleaner? I'm somewhat puzzled by it, ours clears by a fair margin.

Got my 3" air filter.
EXCELLENT looking filter.

Only trouble is.... it doesn't fit my repro 6V air cleaner top lid.
No fault of the filter.
This repro lid has a locating rib for the filter that won't let the filter sit flat on it.
I had the same problem with the K&N filter and the S&B filter. :(

I'm gonna do what I should have done when I first found this issue.
Mill the offending rib flat/flush with the lid.
Every 20 minute job is 1 broken bolt away from becoming a 3 day ordeal.

Basically everywhere.
