I've had this car for awhile now.
My plan is to take it for a drive soon. ;)

So it took nearly 20 years for me to get the springs out. The first time I seen the car I knew one day I would get the springs out.
I have convinced myself that this is worth doing.
The springs are original and pretty rough. The axle is of unknow origin.
I've welded up crappier and drove them.

The car was stripped of it's goodies long ago. I found the car in a field.
The axle was put in to make it a roller. I have a correct 9 inch axle for it now and that is going in.
I will put the car back to a 390, 4 speed TL, 9 Inch drive train and take it for drive. Hopefully soon.

Digging out some stuff I've had for awhile.
68 CJ heads not a matched set though, RPM that has been in the box for 15 years now and a D4TE block with thick walls and webs on the mains. I also have a 1967 Fairlane 390 H code that is very complete and a S intake with what I think may actually be the intake for the car. It's dated 4 months before the car. It's a stretch but who knows it could have been at the bottom of the pile 2 or 3 times in that 4 months. It happens. :D

I like those. always had a soft spot for them. Of course, the fastback style Fairlanes too, but the body like this has so much potential for coolness.
A friend had one with a 427 in it back in about 1978-9. Don't now what happened to it.

That windshield is just not correct though...
