Twin Turbo FE?

Was watching a video on a street 350CuIn small block twin turbo 1,000HP w/7lbs boost. That got me thinking even the 427FE's stock displacement  with those power per cu in figures would approach 1300.   So it got me wondering are production Ford and/or aftermarket FE blocks up to making a sustained 1300HP?

That is easily done in todays world. Turbos make 1000hp street engines pretty commonplace anymore. Heck, try 2000+hp for guys that have endless wallets.

Looks pretty darn street worthy to me especially with that monster intercooler in the snout. So I just extrapolated the 2.85HP/Cu In to a 427

BB, I can guarantee that the Shelby block will take at least 1200 HP, because that's what I got out of my supercharged FE.  The block held together just fine.

I have two T-80 turbos and another Shelby block for a turbo cammer project, projected at 2000 HP.  If I ever get around to building it...

For 1000hp, yes, 7-10 psi really isn't that big of a deal. My 4.6 in my '09 GT can make over 460 on 5 psi. Thats COMPLETELY stock at 281ci.
Of course to make 2000+ it's much higher, typically anywhere from 17-23. They have even pretty much eliminated turbo lag with the newer designs. Check out Nelson Racing Engines or Steve Morrison Racing Engines and you'll see what I mean. Great street manners, pump gas and a fairly mild idle all while making 2000 ft.lbs. of torque and 2500hp and above.
It's crazy.

Fwiw,

A guy I know was spouting off about his 4.6 cobra at a party one night. He drove it there, it sounded like a turbo'd 4.6. He said 1200hp. I chuckled.  He then showed it to me on a chassis dyno at the shop that built it.  It was about 1180 at the rear tires on race tune. He drove that car everyday to college for as for as long as I knew him.
