Interesting for sure.... how in heck do you get the front end of a Cobra to weigh more than the original shipping weight? 1/4" plate winch bumper, steel wheels.... 4339lbs!!! like a Country Squire wagon

Interesting.  IIRC my 67 4 door with a 351C-4V + C4 and fiberglass hood was around 3250. 1750 front, balance rear.  In it's current state with 'glass hood+front bumper, racing seats, no back seat, no HVAC, fuel cell, iron 351C-4V, 8 point S&W bar it's 3050.  There was no 351C in 67 so that data really jumped out at me LOL.  If the weighed car was full trim with the C and C6 I'd think that weight posted is pretty close.

All iron cammer, 14-71 blower, 200 amp alternator, 5 gallon copper/brass radiator to cool it, and a Fatman front crossmember.  :)

Scales are notorious for not just incorrect weights but extremely bad weights.

We had to scale a newly finished racer long ago and hit 3 scales before the ticket was even close to what we thought the car weighed! Scales at material yards (you know, concrete trucks, sand trucks, etc.) were the very worst as near 80,000 lb. loaded trucks was the regular order of business. A +/- of say 3% was nothing to them. Yet, trying to hit our minimum of 3,400 lbs. and be within say 1% was damn near impossible. Even taking the best ticket to the track, we came up light but were prepared to add ballast.

Best idea? Hit a race car shop and pay them to scale your racer (or streeter) for accurate weights.

Or... buy your own scales.  I've had a set of Longacre circle track scales for years, and with multiple cars they have proven their worth again and again.  I even using them for shipping!  They are accurate to +/- 1 pound.  They were expensive, but worth it IMO.
