Had a skimpy burn out and thought it was going to be a wasted pass. Still had a decent 60’,( for car). Kinda surprised me. Unfortunately no video of the pass.

Guy in the other lane is the Street Stick points leader. Went against him in eliminations. Dialed an 11.50 to his 15.50. He just about stopped at the line and crossed over at 44 mph ahead of me for the round.

Thanks guys

that was a good pass Jim. Given the 90* hot and humid weather that night - Id bet there is more to go with that car. Was a great time.

That's cool! Those gears and the Jerico have really made a difference. I'm curious what the engine is spinning through the traps with those gears?

If it really was 90* and humid, I agree with Towd. There's more to go. Not exactly ideal racing conditions for making power.

Long time coming to get there, not lots of passes but 3 years since this version of stroker has been in car.

I think the deeper rear helped but don’t have enough runs in to see if it will be consistent. The 4.86s have me crossing at 6900. It has seemed like this combo was a little slow to get up to speed which is why I went with them. Tire is a true 29” 10.5 Hoosier. MPH was almost 2 faster than earlier.

Sure would like to see a 60’ in the 1.4s

The image is of an 11.11 pass a few weeks prior, third gear shift.

You and Dennis are waving the high-rpm hydraulic roller banner for me very well.

True, my combo spun to 7200 on dyno before diving off.

Way to go Jim! I know how hard you work to get there. Your car is such a good looking Fairlane!

Congrats on the ten sec time slip, Jim! Way to massage the combo as well.

I haven't kept track of your build. Are you spinning an aluminum driveline? The red truck picked up .02-.03 in the 60' when I switched over. Hands down the best gain in ET for the buck.

That’s interesting about the driveshaft Kevin. IIRC there is a chromemoly tube in car that a shop one state over built for me. Probably .083 wall but  it might be thicker than that, have to check the receipt.  I have wondered about an aluminum tube from a Crown Vic with 1350 joints. The same shop does carbon fiber units but one of those would be $2500 and I don’t know if that is the way to go. If they get hurt there may not be a fix.

Thanks for all comments.

Why would you suggest that? I short shift that 390 almost every pass........................... :) :) :) :) :)
