Soundtrack for the country roads.
« on: July 03, 2022, 12:45:04 PM »
Picked my Galaxie out of two year hibernation today.
Car didn't mind for the long rest started right away and after warming up idled smooth.
So we headed to home and after few kilometers turned music player on.After twenty or so kilometers realized no music...
Summer giving it's best and 428 purring you don't need music.
(I always listen Lynyrd Skynyrd,CCR,or something similar when driving my toys)
Apparently I don't always need Lynyrd Skynyrd 8)

I quit installing sound systems in my hot rods long ago. The cars are too loud and I'd rather listen to the motor anyway.

In my "regular" cars, most any classic rock will do.

When Judas Priest comes on...I drive WAY tooo FAST!

Green Onions is a great cruising tune. I have it on my play list on my phone. In my daily cruiser(Miata) and my pick up I just plug it in and turn it on. I can also do that in one of my old Cougars. But don't do that often.

I am in the beginnings of working up a new ECTA race car. It will be an all-out effort, taking significant planning. It WILL have a sound system, and I'll be listening to Green Onions as I leave the start. 8)

I'm at the point of selecting/rejecting parts at present. Current goal is an 'A' Blown Fuel Modified Sports entry. Expecting to use a modernization of the 494 Can-Am engine. Turbos and methanol. :)

Sounds a plan.

And should sound beefy.
