Saw a picture last night of all the funny cars lined up on the track with the bodies up. Very impressive turnout. Like the old days when "64 Funny Cars" shows actually came close to that many.

I know one of the racers and he had some bad luck yesterday.
Ken Singleton from Chickasha, Oklahoma made a run and his funny car burst into flames. He was burned on the face and hands and they medi flighted him to the hospital.
He is going to make a full recovery as his safty equipment saved his life and he was somehow able ro get himself out of the car.

Heard about that accident.  They were running at Texas Motorplex.  Should have gone to that party since it was local.  230 miles local but still.  Those events make me want to lose my RED and build an FED to run in something like the 5.50 TDRA Nostalgia Eliminator index that sometimes run with Chaos.  I read the flyer and dang it, could have got in the Hot Rod Bracket and been in the race.  Have to keep an eye out for that next time.

Yeah
It seems like they use word of mouth to advertise where and when their meets are.

I saw Chaos adverts about 1-2 weeks before the event on FB.  I know one of the competitors, Jeff Cameron who has a Firebird blown alcohol FC.  He qualified 9th but not sure where he ended up.  Jeff runs the body/paint side of the family hot rod business, Dooley & Sons which is close to me.
