Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is a "SMX engine"? Certainly doesn`t look like a FE, or any other Ford engine that I have seen before.  Looks like a very nicely built car, but curious why somebody would spend so much money on a 4 door. Doesn`t seem like money was a concern !

The engine in question is a fresh design. It takes elements from, mostly Mopar and Chevrolet. The engine, complete starts at $75,000, and, I suppose, goes to the moon. It's a very impressive offering.

The car is very nice, but I think my favorite part of the video happens when the exhaust gasses move the wheel/slick sitting next to the passenger side dyno....a tiny bit of airflow going on there.

It'd certainly be cooler with a Ford engine and some shiny trim rather than black. There are 460 type engines capable of that power and even some smallblocks and the Aussie Barra six banger. The Barra is based on the 170 and 200's that came in those cars.

A six second four door six banger Fairlane !
