Plowtruck under the northernsky

Stepson sent me a pic they are plowing a trac for Iceracing nationals
Moonlight and northern lights gives an erie light

An old Scania 75-111 made betwen 58-82 they look almost the same 165-300 horses

Don't see many conventional Scania's anymore, only cabovers. Cool picture.

The last ones they made was special order by Swedish Army to pull trailers for tanks.
I dont remember what year but 10-20 years ago

You know it's cold when you can pull a dump truck onto a frozen lake  ;D

Where I worked, we used to plow our small ponds in the winter time, for ice skating. We stopped when one of the trucks dropped through :o  The ice doesn't get thick enough anymore.

And this is on the river where there is current under the ice ;) i guess the ice is 30-40 inches thick. I think a pond would be frozen solid

That is some serious racing! Reminds me of dirt track racing here in the states, except less chance of bleeding out when your blood freezes. ;D

I'm like Doug, that ice racing is alot like our dirt track racing. Although I wouldn't want to be following another car long after seeing those tires  :o
