I wanted to thank everyone for their input and possibilities. My senses tell me it's not something I'm going to be happy about.
I guess in reality I am just trying to enjoy the car for a while without doing some kind of constant maintenance.
I am recovering from a knee replacement and trying to stay off the knee cap. I'll put some padding down and be done with it.

take care of your knee , the best thing I have found was some of the thick black foam they sell at the swap meets , has work well for my knee replacement , getting down under cars and trucks , press on .

Thanks, I am trying. I am only a couple months post. I think the home PT isn't particularly helpful. I am making a much better recovery going to formal PT.
I am just to the point where I can kneel on a soft pad if I'm careful and on a pad.
