My last set were single focal lenses put into my vintage frames and the lens grinding + install was around $400 for impact proof, scratch resistant polycarbonate.

Reading glasses around here are cheap if single focal...usually <$50 at the corner drugstore if no special prescription needed.

A few years back I was applying for a real job and had to have a medical with eye test.
So I made the app with the eye doc and he seen I had military/gov ins and got to chatting about the old days.
I think he wanted me to off his ex who was putting him through the D ringer. REALLY!
So after all was done he said I could use a pair of reading glasses.
He started to show some fancy name brand frames and the prices. $$$
So asked him straight up, if I buy a cheapo pair from the drug store will it be any different from these.
He said no, but it will make him feel better.
I went to the dollar store and bought a couple of pairs for 10 bucks.
I never took the job, to much work and I like being semi retarded.
Don't know what happened with the doc, but he was very unhappy with the gouging his ex was putting on him. ::)

I used to work for the only metal frame spectacle maker left in Australia. We wholesaled between about $12 and $25. Ended up closing down because of Chinese and Korean imports wholesaling between $4 and $6.

Mark up anyone???!!!!!!

Hi Heo, I just got new metal frame specs a few months ago, I broke the last pair... I think they were around $400.00 with the transition bifocal lenses.  Those are the ones where the bifocal part on the bottom of the lens is blended into the upper part.  I paid less than that because of company insurance.  Btw, did your 64 Galaxie come with the 390 PI engine?  Is it original to the car?  Thanks.

Yes Bruce thats the lenses i got and metalframes
and they wanted 1200  >:(the frames was 200
and some change .So 3 times what you payed
Probably is 75 percents of that some kind of tax
I told them i had seen all that i needed in my
life. Nothing left to see thats worth that kind of
Money. ;D
After some hageling over the price i got a pair
of rayban sunglases with singel focal lences
included in the price and i dont use sunglases
when im Reading ;D

Yes the PI Engine is original to the car i got the
original ....paperwork when its sold. The Engine
was 188 USD extra if im remember corect
but then you got bigger brakes stiffer suspension
and so on included
the fourspeed was more than the Engine i dont remember
how much
The car by itself was around 2500 and options for around 1000
