Searching For a connecting rod
« on: April 05, 2013, 05:30:55 PM »
Hi,I am looking for 1 connecting rod for a 62 Thunderbird with a 390. The rod casting # is C1AE-B.All the books I have looked at say it is a long rod 60 352HP with 13/32-in cap bolts. The rod measures out to be a short rod and it has 3/8" bolts. Does anybody know what I have or can put me in the right direction on what rod I can use. The man wants everything original. But I am lost on this rod. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi. I am a new guy. so i guess I will introduce myself. I have a 64' Fairlane blown 427 Altered wheelbase car. i own 1 of Raymond Beadles 1974 Blue Max funny car bodies, hoping to build chassis and race it in the near future. I own a 57' Nash Metropolitan tube frame blown injected 390.  I build chassis ,engines , pretty much everything but transmissions. Love all FE engines. Thanks
