Has anyone worked with the Pond High Risers yet?
« on: June 18, 2021, 05:29:57 AM »
I saw these last year at the FE Reunion but haven't seen/heard of anyone running a set yet?  The OEM high risers seem to run great, anxious to see what an updated port with a filled floor will do.   I know Blue Thunder made some sets with filled floors but they haven't been available for years, and if I recall they required bespoke rockers?

The Pond high riser heads I've seen didn't have the floors filled.  They were geared towards NHRA requirements for stock eliminator, I think.

Hmm, could be my memory is fuzzy, I recall them being about the same height as a LR port, just located like a HR with less floor.  But, could be wrong.   I think it was already discussed that flow numbers aren't published because they can be misleading, but would like to see if someone has used a set and start to understand how they did and where they fit in best (OK for hydraulic roller street motors or do they need a more serious combo to really shine).

The part that remained unchanged was the combustion chamber.
Would be neat to have some made with a more modern fast burn.

but heck, I just think it's awesome that someone is making HR heads.

Lance Smith at Craft Performance is working on a new CNC program. It's turning out real nice.

Those ports look great. Pretty sure NHRA would not allow them with a smaller heart shaped chamber unless they were for the Orange engines. For Stock class is there a rated power bump with the Pond heads?

Look at Ponds results at the Winternationals, the heads are killer.
