Ford wheel ID
« on: June 07, 2021, 05:08:56 PM »
I have this pair of ford script wheels and am wondering if anyone out there can shed some light about what they might come from. 15/9  4 3/4 back space. bolts to "60 Starliner 9".

I have a 2 8" wide wheels on the rear of my F100 .. 5 on 5.5 bolt circle

Ford wheel cut in half with a section welded in between

3.75 offset, centers perfect in wheel well

4" backspace with big tire would rub bed inner wheel well when going up an incline at an angle

What year wheels had rivets ??

That looks exactly like the wheels i made for my 61 Meteor wagon. The centers were from a pair of early 60's 14" wheels and the rim shells were aftermarket 15 x 8 white spokes that used that same center diameter (12 1/2" maybe?) The centers were rivited on older wheels like 50's till around 64 and later ones were welded. Some exceptions to that. Those obviously were riveted centers that have been welded in. So homemade rather than anything factory built.
