Excellent photography!  I see the last 2 cars (68 mustang and 67 Fairlane) both have the same NHRA number? Driver sell one of his cars and replace it with another?

Neil will always have his Fairlane. He built the coupe but sold it and replaced it with a 2008 Mustang.

Didn't Thor have a Cougar of his own he was trying to sell at one point?

I am not knocking Blair or any other FE engine builders on here, but it seems that a lot of guy's don't realize that there is a lot of talented FE racers/builders out there that do there own programs! I have heard positives & negatives about all the known name builders out there. The fast cars, are always going to be the guy that put the most work in! A engine builder is that! He is not the guy that puts it all together and invest's the time to run records! Very few records can be attributed to a engine builder!

Well I agree there is a lot of other work that goes with it. Carb adjustments suspension work distributor work different takeoffs etc. It is nice to know if all the machine work is done right so the combination is reliable. I was very happy with Barry’s shortblock but the tuning is what got me my fastest times. I would think Blair would understand since he’s been there.

Pretty sure if you check the fast FE Stocker and S/S racers in recent years, you will find more racers using Blair Patrick engines than Kuntz or Craft these days.

No I have never tried to sell it ever. I did have a guy offer me 80K for it at a race a couple years ago, and I was dumbfounded, didn't know what to say, just said I have had it for over 40 years and built pretty much everything on it, and it wasn't for sale and I wasn't finished with it. He said it looked like it was working just fine to him. Then he offered me 100K. I said well it isn't worth that but the answer is the same. I have scratched my head a few time on that one, probably should have taken it???

Same boat as Thor! I have thought about it and I know several guy's that would snatch mine up but these cars become a part of our souls! Money is great but I couldn' Imagine being out here in the garage without her next to me!
