That one isn’t for billet cams,  basically a treated stock iron

dont billit cams need bronze? steel is for hyd rollers? i mean it looks like a cast gear but the description says can be used on most hyd rollers

That ad is a little bit of a play on words

“ most hydraulic roller and mechanical roller camshafts with cast gears.”

The key is the part that it says with cast gears. you can use cast on cast, Bronze on steel or steel on steel, However if you use bronze on steel consider it a maintenance item, it will wear and ultimately can leave you stranded. Most of us use steel on steel nowadays, Well, assuming we can get it again or bush like Brent is doing.

They don't have any and haven't had any for a long time.

Reminds of years ago when I bought a 5.0L GT roller cam engine, back when they were hard to get because of their popularity.  It was supposed to be ready to go, but when I changed the intake the valley was full of small metal particles.  Someone had pulled the stock 5.0L distributor with the steel gear and installed an earlier 289 distributor.  The engine was junk inside, very few salvageable parts.
