You guys with 65-67 Galaxies and Quicktime bellhousings....

….what are you doing with the Z-bar pivot?  It's made into the bell on a factory piece, but there is no provision on a QT bell.

This is what I built for my 66 Galaxie when I had the 428 4 speed in it using a Lakewood bellhousing. I used some flat metal to build the bracket. The bottom and top bolt holes of the bracket caught the two bellhousing mounting bolts. The third hole was for the block plate. The pivot ball is for a ford truck. I replaced both pivot balls with this setup since those split teflon ball bushing for a 65-67 Galaxie were impossible to find.  Hope this helps.

Why did Ford quit using the bracket on the block?  I'm guessing because of geometry and motor placement?

I know they make a bracket for SBF because of the lack of pivot ball mount on the newer blocks.
