What heads are they?

Most heads set up for titanium valves are going to have bronze guides and CuBe seats.  A cast iron seat will work as well on older factory heads.  Also will depend on how the valve stems are coated.

No reason Ti valves can't be run on the street these days but I don't recommend hard tips. I prefer lash caps, especially on the street. Valve job, seat and valve finish, guide clearance, and as mentioned, seat and valve material or coatings are going to play a big part.

Probably not as critical on a lower spring pressure engine, but I agree, on big stuff, I'd rather have a lash cap than an insert.  I've seen the inserts break out.
