Mahle 1mm 1mm 2mm ring package
« on: May 13, 2017, 11:05:31 AM »
Try this once more. Posted in the wrong forum before. Found out the pistons and rings that are in the stroker kit I bought has the Mahle 1mm 1mm 2mm ring package. Any opinions, good bad or indifferent!

I've never run those, but I've run the 0.043/0.043/3mm ring package with good results.  First two rings are almost the same (1mm=0.040").  No reason those won't work for you...

Many new cars run those same rings for less drag, better sealing and improved mileage (less drag).  Pro Stock engine also run thin rings...likely even thinner!

Good rings.

Most of my pistons are either 1/1/2 or 1.5/1.5/3.  No problemo.

I'm no expert, but with that thin a ring, I'd think bore and taper must be pretty tightly controlled?

Best production ring package I have used to date.  Run them in everything I can.  Very low friction and seal up instantly.

This portion of your statement should always be a "given fact".

Unfortunately, that's not always the case, so you'd better be sure about your machinist.
