Went to put the cam gear on my Comp hydraulic roller cam so I can degree it and found that the thread in the camshaft is 7/16 -20 not the standard 7/16 -14 .
So is there a specific ARP bolt that will work for this or is a grade 8 bolt sufficient ?
Take a measurement of the length that you need. Depending on your setup, it may be 1.5" UHL or 1.750". Will depend on if you have a pump eccentric, thick washer, etc.
Yes, ARP has 7/16-20 bolts in either length. With a steel core roller cam, I like to torque them at 65-70 lb-ft.
