I have to make room for mini starter and it's hitting to the "ear" below starter hole.
Is it solid chunk or hollow am at risk making a hole to inside of engine.
My memory is saying it shouldn't be problem just making sure.

Not going to hit anything it's solid, but it does have that threaded hole where the bellhousing bolt goes. I haven't seen one hit there, did you have to rotate it way around?

Imi starter.
Fits only in one position and this position took all kind of grinding and had to Chuck the mounting plate to lathe get more engagement to flywheel ring gear and get bit more gear "lash"
The body of starter too thick by the neck to directly fit for block.
