E you might want to reread my post , IT says nothing about full throttle shifting...
when you go slow , Gently like rolling up to speed .. infront of a cop type thing they are soft and squishy

Yes, high stall and high(er) rpm's should = very hard shifts....like knocking your head into the backseat!

I will chime in with my $1.50. It seems converters aint converters. Two converters with the same stall can behave quite differently in the stall area. Some are tighter some are looser. Mine flashes to 3500rpm and is quite tight below that. Yeh its a lot sloppier than a stock unit but not to the degree that bartlett describes. Drop it in gear at idle and the car jerks. Part throttle shifts below 3500 still snap a fair bit. It still cruises pretty good at 40mph even with the overdrive engaged (around 1650rpm). But floor it and it jumps straight to 3500ish. I like it but will probably remove 500rpm if and when I go 445.
I pretty much agree with e philpott.
