Main cap dowelling

Anybody try this for an FE, or are studs deemed to be good enough to prevent cap walk?

Robert Pond's blocks have dowels to position the main caps, and the Shelby blocks have a wide area on the main stud that is a close tolerance fit to the hole in the cap, essentially serving as a dowel.  I have never seen a stock FE block with dowels installed; normally if someone upgrades a 2 bolt block they go to a cross-bolted setup.
