We are pleased to announce the availability of our BBM Ford FE heads with CNC porting. Our ports were designed by Jim Kuntz, and the CNC work is done by Jeff Colvert.

Flow numbers are as follows:

Lift Intake Exhaust
.300 219 160
.400 277 200
.500 321 226
.600 346 245
.700 357 255
.800 368 260
.900 375

Valves sizes used in testing above numbers are 2.250" intake and 1.710" exhaust. No pipe on the exhaust. Ports showed no backup in testing to 1.00" lift. Further details in classifieds.

I would imagine you could get them through BBM or Kuntz.
I have been a Kuntz fan for many years and couldn't be happier that he is working a set of heads for me now.
I can't wait to see his work and magic,   but I will lol.

Heads are ordered through BBM, and Jim Kuntz will prepare them to your specs.

Doug,  if you've test fit these, what do you consider the minimum cylinder bore for these heads?

Drew, in this configuration with these valve sizes, minimum bore would be 4.230".

So, if the heads get a CNC job, what difference does it make which underlying set of heads get loaded in the ?-axis mill?  At the end of the program, whatever heads are in there will be Kuntz heads.

Well that's not entirely true.
The spark plug is not in the same location when you compare a BBM to an Edelbrock .
At least on my heads.
There are some great heads out there today and if you going for entry level or looking for MAX effort
each head has it's merits.
Of course the price of admittance is a big factor. ;)

The interior of the heads are totally different between brands, and you will hit water if you try to run a CNC program designed for a Survival, Pond, BBM, on a set of Edelbrocks.  Each head's casting is made from completely different internals.  Joe-JDC

Hi BBM tech

Are these on the wider 427  valve centerlines or the narrower 390-428 centerline?

A 428 CJ head versus a modern aluminum FE head is about .115 narrower, so I wondered
