Private Classifieds / 428 PI Intake SOLD
« on: May 01, 2021, 07:20:51 PM »
Ford 428 Police Interceptor Intake Manifold. Surface just restored by Houston Vapor Blasting, looks new. Factory milling marks on all surfaces, so never cut, and ports have never been touched. One weld repair on bottom (see photos), likely for porosity and there is a crack on the bolt hole for the distributor hold down that one might consider repairing with a helicoil or similar threaded insert. Otherwise one of the nicest original 428 PI intakes that I’ve seen.  SOLD

Thanks,
Bobby

Hello again, haven't posted in a while so thought that it would be a good idea to give an update.  I have recently retired from my job of 30 years and now get to spend all day at home in my shop blasting parts for customers and working on old Fords, which is as wonderful as it sounds.  The pay is much worse, but life is certainly better.

Anyway, wanted to remind everyone about the service for those who need it.

Feel free to PM or email with any questions.

Thanks,

If I understand the Holley info correctly, and hopefully I do since I'm dealing with a similar situation, the Sniper will output a (-) ground signal to activate your fans.  On my car, and what I think is a typical setup, the temperature switch is between the chassis ground and (-) post of the fan relay.  Once the temperature reaches setpoint, the switch closes and gives the ground path to the relay. The Sniper has two wires you can use, the blue & light green, either of which can be used to give the same ground path to the relay.  I think there is a YouTube video that shows how to test it by lowering the temperature setpoint below ambient in the Sniper controller to see if the fan starts.  All that said, I'm no expert either, but I think that is all there is to it.

Interesting, pretty similar build to what you provided me with Brent, except for the cam specs.

My SWAG is 532.

FE Technical Forum / Re: D4TE 105 blocks. Distributor bushing?
« on: March 12, 2020, 01:46:11 PM »
My D4TE block has the compressor drain hole on the passenger side skirt, but has the 'automotive' size hole for the bottom of the distributor.  I was expecting to need a bushing, so I was surprised by this.

Might make sense to crate them all as send them via freight to the Houston terminal.

Vapor blasting service for aluminum and other parts.  Make the parts look and feel new again.  Price depends on size and complexity of part, quantity discount.

Here's a look at a few of the parts that I've done, simply vapor blasted, no coating of any kind.
