Looks good. How do you get from scan to metal? Are you making wood bucks?

Definitely cool.

I talked with my friend about scanning and what I can do with them. He will send me couple of samples so I can test how to handle those 3d scans.

If i can handle those scan models we most likely do scans from block, (cylinder head), timing cover and blower manifold. This may take a while.

Thanks for the clarifixation, havent messed with scanned models. Scanned something just dor fun couple years back. I'll have to chat with my friend, but I'll probably just make very simplified model for my needs.

This is kinda long project but no one happens to have 3d models from: 8-71 blower, fe timing cover and fe block. I totally understand if someone dont want share their work.
Friend has a scan device, if i go that route is there demand for factory block scan. I can make basic 3d model but details are kind of pain so scanned model would be easier.

Didn't watch all the way through. Don't put hard bolts or springs etc in citric acid and if using on cast iron keep it short.
Heat helps a lot with citric acid.

How about 360 crank is it really forged?
I have a factory block headed for a boost.
It's a street oriented build most likely blow  thru carb and single turbo, I know it'll be on borrowed time on a factory block but I'll give it a try.
I don't mind buying whole rotating set, but minimum being forged pistons and rods.
Question being how much whichever crank will hold?
Factory cast? Forged? Scat cast? Scat forged?

Allmoust forgot this and really don't know if anyone is interested but here goes anyway.
One of those to do things for me has been to watch Dragweek on spot but traveling to States and trip costs and ain't always possible. Last winter I decided I'll have to do some sort trip to watch drag and drive event and remembered Streetweek in Sweden in neighbor country. So called to my ex work buddy if he's up for a little road trip to Sweden and sure enough he was.
So we left Friday morning towards Turku with my 65 Gal. Weather  bit rainy but all and all nice so we got to near to Turku whitout any trouble rested there in small rental cabin and headed in the morning to ferry from Finland to Sweden.
In the evening we arrived to Stockholm and headed towards Linköping near the track of Mantorp.
Sunday morning we headed to track and got first minor hick up in our transport, Galaxie started to sputter at idle and finally lost its idle at the line to the track. My mate pushed the car to the track gate and we started wonder what's wrong. Car started after it had cooled down (totally my stupidity due last minute electric fuel pump assembly and putting fuel lines in the hottest place in engine bay...).
Well we got to track and went see the race .
To be continued cause this a bit hard on a mobile.

Here's few pic's from Mantorp park starting day of the Street week.
This is a 6 day ( one day rest in Wednesday) in Southern Sweden.
Everything considered there where plentiful fast cars and about 200 started the week.
