is this crank offset improperly?

Bingo!!

I will say this on vacuum advance, though;  The higher your static compression the less value there is in vacuum advance.

This would would be a great test for all those "I have a 352 or 360" questions. At your expense of course, I would like to see what a Performer vs RPM intake and headers do for it. Then a few cam swaps. Can you have the results by Friday?

I know this is not an answer, but is it worth the risk to save a few bucks?

Drill oil pump output hole in block a little bigger and fix the crank bearing lubrication holes that is restrictive. [/i]
Leave the crank bearing holes alone Ford did that for a reason, to balance oil volumes at all bearings. It will not hurt anything to do it but is not needed.

Standard volume pump is all that is needed.

Flat top pistons to bump compression
Be sure and get the proper compression height pistons. ( 1.760-1.770  height to minimize quench. At .060 over you possibly will be in the pricier territory. Some of the builder on here can point you in the right direction.

what does the oil pressure do at idle, 2500 rpm, and 4500 rpm? Not suggesting this is the issue but it has happened to a few folks.
