I would do a rear gear change to wake it up first. You need more to get the weight of that car moving. Even a high HP 427 is not going to like 3.00 gears

I would get a hold of who your going to have make your new axle's and ask them what dimensions they need, then go measure your housing

Sounds like the camshaft gear may be cut wrong, try it with another old cam known to be ok. might be the cam AND the block dimensions stacking up ?

I always start with jetting the way that Holley built them then see what the combo wants for the fine-tuning. Holley typically built them pretty close to how much fuel is needed for how much air they will pass

Any of the piston manufacturing people will make what you want, you just have to tell them what you want
