I took two 4779 double pumpers, tied the squirter nozzles together so they both fire off the primary pump, set the primary and secondary plates 1:1, and made the carbs 4160 style with side hung bowls to fit on a Ford Medium Riser intake.
I'll test them out if it ever stops raining.
Lemme know whatcha think.

If I ever get some free time, I'd like to make some homemade center squirters too just cuz.

Wow ...that's cool

Those look great. Exactly what I've been wondering about, but without the skills/resources to make it a non-cringeworthy reality.
I'm slow and early in a build, but I'll be giving you a shout when the time comes.

Nice! That massive pump shot may be one of the few things the tuner may need to fiddle with....unless the engine underneath is a real killer!

Beauty Drew!! Were you bored, did you only have a hundred carbs to rebuild? ;)

I took August off due to some family stuff.
Which is good, I’ve been getting bored of restorations and no r&d.
I don’t think the pumpshot will be excessive, controlled by the skinny pedal just like everything else.
Just playin really. I’ve been meaning to make up some stuff like this and find best calibration for the racer on a budget.

I did a similar conversion of a 735 CJ carb with the bowls, back in 1977 and it worked fantastic. Easy to do, and has all the benefits of the 735 tunability. Of course now the CJ carbs are getting scarce in pristine shape, and make them more desirable for restorations instead of hot rodding. Joe-JDC

I was thinking of doing this to 3310's for the same reason Joe, they already have the cast boss for the second squirter, I'd just need to tap it at 1/4-28 and run the pipe to it. Plus I've got a dozen 3310-2's and they aren't terribly expensive, just a lil hand work, replace the boosters, and you've got a decent double pumper.

Sounds better in person, the camera mic was blattting out at throttle

I have done that also. It works just dandy. Looks nice what you did there.

Next mission on this project:
-Idle air bleed is .067, I'll change it to .070, or .074 to lean up the idle a fuzz. Ifr is small at .031, secondary ifr .033
-With Mixture screws 3/4out I can only get a 12/1 afr, would like a lil better control with the screws so I can find both ends of the "happy range"
-All four pump nozzles are .031, it was the smallest set of four I had laying around, I'll buy four .025's and find the smallest one that works, just drill .001 at a time until I get rid of any issue there.
-test drive and see how the main's work. Currently have 68 jets, Metering plate drilled to .080, Power valve is currently 8.5 with .057 pvcr. Good cruise will point me in which direction I need to change these.
Fun little project, happy I took it on.
I've got at least two 600/650/700/750/800/850 double pumpers, so I may make a set of each just to find what calibration works for each.
Thanks all for the input/feedback.

I've always wanted to do that myself, ever since I saw that guy on Speedtalk do it. But wont have the reason to, now that the Speedmaster blower intake is out.
