Dyno'd this one naturally aspirated, but it's built for a centrifugal supercharger.  Application is designed around MPFI, centrifugal supercharger, and an intercooler, but we just slapped a carburetor on it and dyno'd it.  No tuning whatsoever, just pulls to seat the rings and check for leaks.

8.5 to 1 almost 600 horse nice, should be a beast with a supercharger. Why’s it going in.

 Pickup truck.

I am curious about the head gaskets, are those the SCE MLS or Cometic? Have you used the SCE yet?Likes or dislikes if so? I can't say that I have ever seen the weird bump or radius at 12 O'clock on the cylinder, what is that for?

I use both SCE and Cometic, can't go wrong with either.  These were Cometics.

Plans in the works to apply the boost later and run it again on the dyno?

This first run is just a tease :)

He will get it in the truck, put the supercharger and intercooler on, along with the EFI, then chassis dyno it.

what is the peanut butter on the pistons?

-
peanut butter thats funny. probably ceramic or the same material he coats his bearings in. another guess its for the extra pressure the motor will see with the supercharger.
 protects agains heat.

Ceramic crown coating for high heat situations.

600 hp with that compression NA?

 Yikes!
What kinda ring pkg called for?

I figured it is a coating, it just looks different than the grays and blacks, looks better to me . is there some good data on the effectiveness of coatings? very nice looking builds, thanks for sharing.

This coating is the Calico HPT coating.  It protects to temperatures above 2000°F.  Just an added layer of protection for an aluminum piston, since this is going to be a higher boost on pump gas.

is calico the brand of coating you use and do you recomend them?what about skirt coatings as well for a short piston and long stroke?
