I've done things like this with most of my grand kids and some of my great-grand kids.

Several daugther-in-laws really aren't happy with me ...

Non-FE Discussion Forum / 1999 Ranger clutch bleeding problem
« on: May 18, 2024, 05:12:44 PM »
Unable to bleed the throw out bearing on my 1999 Ranger 3.0 5 speed.  I replaced the clutch and throw out bearing three weeks ago.  I pulled the inner fender panel and removed the master cylinder so that any air trapped in it (because it normally sits at a 60-75 degree angle) could get out.  I tried working the master cylinder and pulling a vacuum with a hand vacuum (as much as 25 pounds)  I have not gotten more than a few drops of fluid out of the throw out bearing bleed screw.
Master cylinder worked fine before I changed the clutch.  How can I tell if the problem is the new throw out bearing or the master cylinder?

Compression ratio is unknown, that's why I'm ccing the heads.  I'm guessing 10.5, hoping for 11.5, would be delighted with 12.5.

I paln to CC my BBM heads but then realized they use a smaller spark plug than the one in the stock heads.

So what plugs shold i be getting for track use.

And I just realized the plugs I've been saving (including a a set or two of Holley spark plugs) will be of no use to me - lol.

I probably have one as I stripped several Edsel engines and kept all of the small parts. Do you have a picture or tell me what is different from the standard oil slinger so I can be sure?

Unbelievable,  77 years old and his reflexes still let him be the number one qualifier.

Wow, a very neat project.  Lots of little parts will have to be made to complete it.

We should start a betting pool for the date the engine makes its first complete dyno pull.

This engine also gives a very different meaning to twin cams.

They apparently don't sell direct.  I emailed them; they told me their re-seller was Summit.  I ordered from Summit, shipping is estimated for Feburary 29th.

CVR suggested I have it dropped shipped and I'm trying to get that to happen.

No one has these inlet tubes.

Would a Morso inlet 62522 fit?
