I paln to CC my BBM heads but then realized they use a smaller spark plug than the one in the stock heads.

So what plugs shold i be getting for track use.

And I just realized the plugs I've been saving (including a a set or two of Holley spark plugs) will be of no use to me - lol.

I have two FE distributors with NAPA pointless conversion setups installed.  It has been so long since in used them I do not recall what electronic modules work with them.  I used them with MSD boxes back in the day but I also used them with the NAPA module and some Ford modules.

Does anyone recall using these?

Cleveland to FE intake manifold adapter by Jay.  Part # 13001, S/N 0046 originally sold in 2014.  In the original FE Power box.  Complete with the instructions and adapter installation bolts. $800 plus shipping.
I’ll be driving to California next week and to Minnesota within a month.  If you are not in a hurry, I can ship from a place that will minimize the shipping cost.

I have saved my money to build an FE powered gasser.  I've decided to purchase many of the parts for it now before inflation devalues my money any more.

I'm probably one and a half years maybe two an a half years from getting it to the track (I'm old and slow).  If I've read the rule book correctly many safety item have to be recertified annually.  Seat belts/safety harnesses and scatter shields come to mind immediately. If I buy the scatter shield and don't use it for two years will I have to replace it when I get my car inspected.

I've tried to ask NHRA this question but their office (626-914-4761) told me they didn't know; they suggested I become a member and the contact my division tech director.  (I'm in Alabama what division is that in?)

Does any body know how the certification thing works for new but unused parts?

I've got a couple of Lakewood scatter shields that are like new but useless except for mocking up the drive train layout.  I really don't want to throw away another $1000.

I’m getting ready to install a straight front axle and move the rear “frame rails” for a narrowed 9-inch rear end under a ’66 Falcon sedan.  I’ve never done this, nor have I talked to anyone that has.  I was aware of and understand the front-end alignment issues.  I don’t want to overlook something that those who have done this often would know. 
I’ve been watching YouTube videos and know I may need to change to front steer and relocate the steering box, etc.
I originally planned to have the body level with the rear raised for 15” large drag slicks and the front axle lowered using somewhat smaller 14-inch or 15-inch tires.  This stance would put the intake manifold’s carb pad at the stock angle and the drive shaft and pinion angles should be close to stock (I hoped). 
But is that best for racing?  When I leave the starting line, the front of the car will rise a lot and the gas in the fuel bowls would move to the rear and the center line floats would be working at a difficult angle.  Would it be better to have the car sit nose down and when it left the line the car would not be so nose high?  Or am I over thinking this?  As I write this, I suspect I am.
Constructive suggestions and comments will be welcomed.

I want to ship a 43 pound torque plate to England.  I built a wooden box for it and the package weight is 56 pounds. Fedex/UPS is quoting a $300 to $550 to ship it via Air. 

Ground (actually shipping vis a ship) would be OK.  How do I get find a shipper?

I purchased a Cleveland Offy tunnel port intake top use with Jay's adapter.  When I got it I discovered that it didn't include the bolts (or gaskets) to fasten the top to the base.  Their web site is poor (at best) and I haven't been able to register to ask if the gaskets (part number 5936 or 5938) are available.  This is not a big deal if they are not, as I can make gaskets.

The bolts are a bit of a problem.  Seems that 1" is too long to fit and 3/4" only given me two turns before they make contact and I'm concerned because two threads seems awfully short in aluminum.  Will someone check their intake and give me the bolt length.

I recently got a '66 Falcon which I'll probably make into my primary drag car.  The hood is rotten with rust so I'll probably get a fiber glass one from USBody.  They offer a discount on scoops if purchased with the hood.  I've never had a hood with a scoop.  I'll probably need one for the tunnel ram.

The styles I'm considering are the Thunderbolt about 4" high, the Hemi with an open front about 4.5 inches high, and the Aero - a gasser style to me - either 4.5 or 9 inches high. 

Would 4 inches give me enough room or do I need to go to the 9 inch aero?

My 2000 F-250 with 397,000 miles miles has a broken thermostat housing bolt.  I need to remove the aluminum crossover pipe that links the two heads at the front and includes the thermostat housing. 

Looking at it I don't see how I can get to the bolt at the bottom left (passenger side) without removing the complete intake manifold (after first removing the coil packs and fuel injectors and lines), etc., etc.

Is there something I over looking?

I want to coat the floor in my new shop before I use it.  I want something that will allow easy clean up of spills. 

Water glass (Calcium Silicate) and epoxy paint have been suggested.  What are you guys using?

Jay what are you using in the chicken coop?

CammerFE referred to mods to Brother Lons's Mustang in a another thread...
