Valve cover gaskets

Has anyone used these rubber gaskets before?

FEL-PRO Part # VS13049R
Or
VICTOR REINZ Part # VS38308R

Any pros/cons to either?

I use the rubber fel pro all the time. I run a small bead of ultra black on both sides to stop leaks. Sick of scraping the cork off all the time!

I used the Victors on the car during the weekend.
They work for easy off and on.
Not sure I would use them on high mileage non max inspection valve train.
They move around a lot under the covers and are not really well sealed.
But you can get the covers off hot and get right on a rocker check without any hassle.
And get the covers back on and be ready to go pretty quick.
I wanted to do a fast rocker check on a basically untested engine between rounds and they work good for that.

So, if I understand correctly you siliconed the corks and not the rubber right? I have used the thick Victor corks with steel center with good results. I use clear silicone to hold the gasket to the valve cover and apply a thin smear of oil on the head side to hopefully release easier. The rubber is not meant to have a silicone added by it's purpose. How is the thickness compared to the cork? Is it soft and conformable?

The thickness is about the same as the cork, very pliable. I do use ultra black on the rubber on my cast valve covers, they seem to move around a bit. Some don't use it but works for me, no leaks.
