Crites performance parts update
« on: August 24, 2024, 10:16:16 PM »
I recently looked on their website and it said all their fiberglass molds had been sold to a company called Performance Parts and sales and to contact them to order pieces.                                                           .  https://www.critesperformanceparts.com

SOB...  I'd been looking at the teardrop hood for a Mustang there for years, when I was ready to order it they had just closed up.  I've been searching for a Crites hood high and low with no luck, about a month ago I gave in and ordered a hood from somewhere else.  Hopefully it's as nice.

A quick search turned up nothing on the web for a company of that name. I hope maybe I am looking wrong or they don't have a website yet, which could be cause for concern

Mills fast glass is selling fiberglass teardrop hoods for some Fords. He is making his own molds and is working to expand the line. He is on the Ford teardrop flyers facebook page. I am hoping he gets the 63/64 Galaxie mold done soon.

Yes, Timothy Charles Mills, Mills Fiberglass. I don’t have any personal experience, but he has been posting on the Thunderbolt Facebook page too. Looks like he’s currently making ‘64-‘65 Comet hoods, working on ‘64-‘65 Falcon, and ‘64 Fairlane soon, according to his comments. He makes just the teardrop too. A few people have commented there that they have his fiberglass parts and are happy. Just another source to check.

Timothy Charles Mills worked for Crites, then left. I have one of his 65 Comet hoods and it seems to be a good fiberglass piece. The number listed is to the new business in TN . They are woeking on there building and to my knowledge not open yet. Timothy also doesn't have any thing made for Galaxie , but heard it is being looked at. Ecklers shows tear drops in stock and ready to ship not sure who is making theres.

There is also a seller on Facebook Marketplace selling Crites Header jigs. No headers, just the jigs.

Today I saw on a couple of Ford forums that Performance Parts and Sales had recently posted messages stating they were now accepting orders for fiberglass components.
