Cleveland intake with Dale’s adapter
« on: August 15, 2024, 12:48:03 PM »
Looking at the Cleveland intake sitting on the FE adapter, I noticed there are two valley pans. This got me thinking about milling out most of the manifold valley pan. I would keep the pan under the plenum so it would act as a cross brace.  Did anybody ever try this?

Pretty much mandatory with Jay's adapter.  The intake has to be modified to fit it and Jay offers that service.

I'm assuming that Jay is who you meant when you said "Dale".

I did and left some support on the ends, to strengthen it and leave something to relocate it, if I need to get it on the mill again. I also took a few pounds out of the adapter, itself.

Jay takes the whole bottom out.

Cut the bottom completely out of my funnel web. No issues.

Thanks guys!  I was afraid I’d get shamed for asking the question.
