Honestly, you guys.  Where is the trust?   ;D

Most of these pictures were taken last fall when I got the cars home.  The dyno pics were taken at the beginning of May

To update on my end.
I made a bunch of small changes to the calibration so they should run better with his cam.
Also blueprinted the works.

Ran fine

No drama, adjusted fine.
Jay should just be able to set floats, mixture, idle speed, and be good to go.

Guess we will see.

Oh and sorry if I let the Boss9 cat outta the bag Jay.

At least I posted it in the right forum, not like the Lykins fella showing us Clevelands we don’t wanna see 😂😂😂😂

Wow, two Boss 429's!  I think you did better in the long run, the GT sure didn't have much of a depreciation cycle but i'm guessing it won't go up too much more.

The one is certainly a survivor! I would not even consider painting it. They are only original once, despite the engine being rebuilt. But it's not my car.

I got Drew's carb installed and running over the weekend.  Took it out for a test drive today and it works beautifully.  Thanks Drew!

Oh good, happy to hear.
I hate when these little details get ignored… simple parts, simple problems.
Let me know if I can help get it dialed in as you go, happy to help.

Today I was looking for something else and stumbled across a 429 SCJ Stick D1ZF-9510-YA Holley I forgot I had.  List number R-6127A, with the 6382 and 5672 metering blocks, rebuilt, complete.

This is why I take all my carbs apart, even new out of the box. I've had to mill bodies to get them to lay flat on the baseplate without a gasket, found trash in the bowls, etc.  I'm not talented enough to know the feed sizes but just cleaning the thing up makes sure you at least start out as close to factory spec as possible.
