C5AE 427 Ford Steel Crankshaft Standard
« on: August 19, 2023, 04:18:53 PM »
Hen's  tooth for sale- Standard C5AE 427 Ford steel crank. Pretty nice shape, has a few  very light shadows from sitting 5 years. Measures at high end of  factory tolerances, you would probably want to loosen it a bit for  performance use as your tastes run. Now sprayed with preservative and in  the bag, If you can find a nicer standard one you better buy it! $1200  plus shipping.

Hey Gene, a scammer was trying to sell your crankshaft on Facebook. I reported it, but they might have blocked me. Just a heads up so you can check, and watch any other sites. This was from the FE Enthusiasts page. For everyone else, be vigilant, these scams are all over Facebook

Yep, the scammer seems to be pulling the ads once called out- and his member name is gone too

I assume you have this posted places other than just here?  The reason I ask is you can't see pictures here as a guest, only if you have an account.  In short, robbing both pictures and description from a post here would require registration to this forum.

Gene had the crank posted on other Facebook pages too, Facebook is likely where the pictures were stolen from.

Many of these Facebook scammers aren’t very sophisticated, they often even post on the same page they steal pictures from, I’m sure they hope with tens of thousands of members on any particular page they can reel in a fish who didn’t notice the exact same part posted at some point in the past, and sadly that often works. And since there aren’t any real consequences when they get caught, other than having their fake account deleted from the group, they don’t have much to lose.
