I bought one from Engine Quest on eBay, $42.00 plus tax, free shipping. Material is cast iron, CNC machined. OA length stated as 3.322".

Barry, I do want a new sleeve. The questions are, what is the correct OA length and is an aluminum sleeve acceptable. Chuck

My thanks for all the input from everyone. I have found sources for the spacer/sleeve. However the OA length seems to be in question. One states 3.400, another 3.322, and the OEM one I have is 3.334. Were they all the same length or vary from application to application?
The OEM piece needs a sleeve and seal and I've had mixed results using them in the past. Thanks, Chuck (S)

I am considering installing subframe connectors on my 1966 Cyclone. Am I correct in assuming they are the same as for 1966 Fairlane? I am looking at weld on, not through the floor, connectors. What are some of you using that you like, fit well, and work? Thanks, Chuck (S)

My thanks to everyone who responded with helpful information. I have had mixed results from Cometic. Once no problem, the second purchase they needed 3 tries to get my custom speced gaskets right (Boss347). I am a bit surprised that they don't offer a 4.190- 4.200 bore gasket. I think I'll call them and ask if they have something in that size. Chuck (S)

462 with TFS heads, about 10.3:1 SCR. Is there an appropriate gasket, .030-.041 thick compressed, block bore will be +.030, that minimizes gasket volume? How much larger than the block bore size does the gasket bore need to be? Thanks, Chuck (S)

Thanks for the replies guys, keep them coming. Eliminating the rubber "isolator" pieces should raise the back of the car 1/2 inch. This may change the clearances a bit. I ordered the Cal Tracs this AM. it comes with a solid front spring eye bushing. This likely will restrict side to side movement of the springs sideways. By the way, everyone at Calvert Racing are great to deal with. All of them are very friendly and helpful.

The full story is too long to tell, short story I'm trying to fit M/T street drag radials (255)on the car. And I have them on the car. The problem is the passenger side has about 1/4"- 5/16" less clearance than the driver's side, The passenger side rubs slightly on bumps. Is this a known problem? Is the fix to properly relocate the spring perches? I also want to ditch all the rubber insulator pieces. Eventually I will install Cal-Tracs. Car is 98% street. 462 Fe, lots of good parts, solid roller cam, 4 speed. Is there an easier fix. Any and all input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Chuck (S) Forgot, car is 1966 Cyclone GT.

Galaxiex, Brent, and Woody's, Thanks for the information and pictures. Woody's, did you just machine a "register" in the 1"spacer so the nut would be below the surface of the spacer? With the 1" spacer, do you think the VCs would clear the master cylinder (manual brakes, 1966 Cyclone)? How about plug access with the spacers? Take the VCs off to get to 7 and 8? Thanks, Chuck (S)
