Also, I would take a few thousands of the OD of the dist gear, to make sure it isn't bottoming in the cam gear.

I believe these are the dimensions that you need.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, I believe the "Front Mfg Hole" is the forward, large hole on the bottom of the block.

The nominal dimensions are .58 x 1.619

Is the dist hole also off or just the lower guild hole?

It could be fixed on a mill, now that you know what the error is, by boring and sleeving it.

Thank you, Jay.

I took a look around this morning at different sites for pictures of Crowers and it does look right.

I bought these from Ross, out of his Cobra Engine. He didn't know the make and I would like to ID them, encase I ever need to rebuild them.

There are no marking on them anywhere but, they have 3/4 rollers,  pressure oiled needles and can oil threw the push rods. The hole for the needle bearing oiling is .025.

Richard, are you going to flow them with the 2.3 valves?

Richard, are you selling them?

So, what you basically need, other than the high/low bolt location, is the distance, from the front of FMX case, to the block face?

I have one on a '71, 351W that I could measure. It still bolted to the engine so, my measurement might not be exact.

Ross, I'll take the cam and lifters.

I'll send a Email.

Could we see the sonic map?

That's fine for you think anyway you like but, apparently you learned something about Ford engines and what WP's have pressed fits.

How do you get that out of this:

"According to my records, some of the late truck engines had pressed 1.04 WP's."

That's all I said. Are not FT engines, also FE's?

I said some truck engines and I didn't even say all truck engines. It was just a statement of fact. It appears that not many knew that.

This is from my Sterling piston catalog. It also list the same for the 330, 359 & 361, for the same years.

I did say some trucks and didn't say anything about PU's

For there to be any hope for a carb to be a 850, it has to have 1.75 throttle bores.

The 750/780's have 1.688 bores.
