This was last night. Only second time that I saw it in central PA. Last time was mid 80s and wasn't near as nice.

awesome! Explains all those 120 mph rides in the old mans 59 Buick convertible as a small kid with mom just a bitchin. Wonder what those guys would think of the Nascar of today.

I always liked Buick nail heads and Chevy "W" 348 and 409s also. Worst looking has to be the LS series. Taurus SHO has to be the best looking modern motor. Those 2.9 Rangers were pretty cool looking also.

If it's not oily, you can run a tack cloth around or even wrap it in a magnet. Nothing cleans a new block like oil circulating through it. On a new GM engine I bought a few years ago, they recommended changing the oil after the first 10 to 15 miles, then again after 500 miles. I think you're fine.

I have a 66 BI/O that came out of a 7liter console and fit perfectly in my 63 gal bench seat, so as long as it came from a galaxie and has the long tail shaft I'd say yes. I couldn't say about the short tail toploaders.

As a kid, When I bought my El Camino, I drove it off of the used car lot straight to fill the gas tank up. After gassing up it wouldn't start just cranked real slow. The old, meanest, crotchedy, stubborn station owner gave it a jump and said that the starter is the problem not the battery and advised me that chevy never made a good starter. Told me to pull it into the service bay on the lift, showed me where his tools were and told me to take the starter off. He then showed me how to put new bushings and brushes in it. That was a game changing life lesson for me. Now I'm the cranky (according to my wife) old man, but I'm still trying to pay that gesture forward. Good for you Heo. BTW I still have the Elky 49 years later and yes, it still has that same starter.

My choice of drink is Beefeater and Fresca, which is a carbonated diet grapefruit soda. Can't ever get it anywhere. Have to make it myself as no bars around here ever heard of it. Beats the crap out of a gin and tonic.

I hate to spoil the party but this is the only pic that I have of one of my cars. taken in 1976. After my first car, a 64 galaxie xl 390 4 speed, kept getting it's doors blown off, I went with the if you can't beat em join em theory. Some how with all the moving and money crunches over the years, I still have that car. Godam, where did the 50 years go to.
